My Project (project profile)

There's a lot of lack of diversity in children's book, of the 3,200 books that  were published in 2013 only 93 (0.029%) were about Black people, and  only 57 books were published about Latinos (0.018%) even though Latino and Black kids make up around 40% of the pubic school system. Asian-Americans had 69 books and Native Americans had 34. I hope to be a writer as my career choice and I want my work to reflect the experiences of all different types of people, this project is my first work in hopes of increasing the diversity in the literary world.
